PERFORMANCE
"Electra: After Giraudoux, After Snowden"
2015-2017
This full length play was made by pulling apart the two out-of-print English translations (1955, 1964) of Jean Giraudoux's Électre (1937) and mashing them up with the ancient versions of the play, fragments of ancient and contemporary poetry, and direct quotes from 20th and 21st century political and cultural figures including Germaine Greer, Ronald Reagan, Anaïs Nin, Donald Trump and Edward Snowden, with original text. It was developed during a visiting artist and guest lecturer in theater residency at Corning Community College and the initial version was produced by Muse of Fire Theater, featuring students and professional actors. It was subsequently re-written during a series of workshops in Brooklyn, New York.

INSTALLATION
"Spring, 2016 (Babel)”
2016
This installation, about the meanness, hysteria and fear-mongering of the election season, was made from speech bubbles and exclamations razored out of an old copy of the comic book The Dark Knight Strikes Again by (noted Islamophobe) Frank Miller. I manipulated them by scanning, copying, enlarging, and color correcting them. I flopped some of them to highlight their sense of manufactured chaos by reversing their direction. This was a commission for the Bay Ridge SAW for the windows of a popular local comic shop.

INSTALLATION
"On The Necessity of Manifesting, Each Time, The Gestus Of The Play (Abu Ghraib)"
2016
This installation was made from five large sheets of white cotton (56” x 95" and 42” x 62"), hung vertically and stained with dried lamb's blood, the artist's saliva and semen. It was commissioned for the Work of Body show at Panama Art Factory, Sacramento CA. While it was installed it served as a backdrop for a performance by dancer Caro Novella.
